Concept Stores Part 4: Miami

Graffiti murals in the Wynwood district by Boho Hunter, our number two.

LEE ESTE POST EN ESPAÑOL.

There is an undeniably contagious energy conveyed upon arriving to a city like Miami. Perhaps it is the palm trees, that sweltering Miami heat, the unabashed hedonism of its residents, or maybe it’s that South American sizzle that permeates every aspect of the city, giving it the tropical edge it’s known for.

The Miami shopping scene is not exempt from Latin American influence, with independent concept stores springing up throughout the city to showcase the best fashion and accessories these countries have to offer. For part 4 of our series on concept stores, we’ll walk you through three of The 305’s most exciting representatives of Latin American fashion. Click here if you missed part 3 with Casa Santamaría in Bogotá.

Bossa Concept

The word “bossa” is a reference to the cool, calm spirit that permeates Brazilian life, from the soft samba music to the locals’ trendy and tropical style. With that in mind, former models Alessandra Cavalcante and Flavia Schwenk conceived Bossa Concept as a resource for women’s Brazilian luxury fashion.

The 1,300-square-foot loft space located on the ground floor of Palau Sunset Harbour in Miami Beach now houses more than 20 brands that extend beyond the Brazilian border. Apart from Brazilian staples Agua de Coco, Cris Barros, and Waiwai Rio, customers will find brands like Carlo Carrizosa, Paula Mendoza, and Maison Alma of Colombia, Caralarga of Mexico, No Pise La Grama of Venezuela, and a few Turkish and European brands. bossaconcept.com
